10 ways to interact with other organizations on your campus
By: CKI Service Committee Secretary, Rachel Bennet

  • 24 hours of service. Many Circle K clubs have used this idea with their individual clubs, but try opening it up to your entire campus.

  • Campus LSSP. Find something on your campus that needs renovating, repairing or a little creative fun and help make your campus a better place.

  • Relay for Life. Your CKI club could be in charge of your campus’s Relay for Life run/walk and bring your campus together to support this cause.

  • Benefit concert. Bring music to your campus by hosting a benefit concert to raise money for any cause.
  • Habitat for Humanity. This is a great way to get your whole campus involved in a single project. Organize a campus-wide house-building project.

  •  “Invisible Children” screenings. Bring the powerful story of the “Invisible Children” to your campus. They are a social, political, global movement that uses the transformative power of story to change lives.

  •  Club Olympics. This fundraiser will allow clubs to compete with one another for a good cause. Each day has a new event such as a relay or spirit contest, have clubs pay a registration fee and then that money goes to the charity of your choice.
  • Mosaic. Ask each club on campus to design, title and create a mural with mosaic tiles to hang up somewhere on campus
  • Campus recycling program. If your school doesn’t have an on campus recycling program, it may be time to go green.
  • Dorm move out. Find students who don’t have moving assistance and help them move out of the dorms.
